Solomon Prakash

Solomon Prakash is a mechanical engineer and has been a social entrepreneur for the last 28 years. He has worked with homeless youth in India and started public school reform initiatives which expanded to several Indian states. Solomon Prakash also has founded several social businesses on livelihood development, started a design and marketing company to help artisans and worker-owned enterprises working on lacquerware (wood toys), woodworking, metal craft, and textiles. Solomon also founded a company that connects blue-collar workers to jobs and skilled training. He founded a software company to assist rickshaw drivers. He is a Global Leadership member and was country head of Ashoka in India. Currently, he is a managing partner with Poptech, Camden, Maine, U.S. and a process design consultant for UN agencies working in Jordan for refugees from Syria. He also consults with social enterprise startups. Solomon currently lives in Bern.
